Our ever-popular 30 x 30 small works display returns to our annual exhibition this year, offering a fantastic varied selection of small works for sale at affordable prices.

All Society members are welcome to submit work. There is no selection process and there is no entry charge. Throughout the exhibition works are displayed on rotation in our changing display. If you are not a member and would like to join you can do so HERE

HOW TO APPLY
Each artist may submit up to three unframed, 2D works mounted on a firm 30cm x 30cm board (The work itself can be smaller but must fit within 30cm x 30cm). We are setting a maximum price of £350 for each work, with sales commission applied. Professional members will be charged a rate of 35% on the sale price of all work sold. Artist, graduate & student members will be charged a commission of 40% on the sale price of all work sold.

All works must be clearly labelled on the back of the work with the following:

Please complete the submission form below. Work will not be accepted without a completed form. Completing the form in advance means a quicker hand-in and therefore allows us to offer more hand-in slots for members.

Delivery
Delivery in person: Monday 25 & Tuesday 26 October 2021 (Limited slots have also been made available 2-5pm on Sunday 23 October – book below)  – Upper Galleries, Royal Scottish Academy (entry via front door), The Mound, Edinburgh, EH2 2EL

Timed entry slots bookable below. Please note that if you have work pre-selected for the main exhibition you can hand in your 30 x 30 submissions at your pre-selection hand-in slot.  

You will be asked to book your hand in slot once you have made your submission. You can also do this here.  Access to the gallery during install week is by appointment only, to comply with Covid protocols. If you turn up without booking a slot we cannot accept your work and you will be turned away. 

There is no parking on site, so please park elsewhere or use public transport/arrive on foot. If you have accessibility requirements please email admin@s-s-a.org

Delivery by post: To arrive on Monday 25 or Tuesday 26 October 2021. Posted works must include return packaging, pre-paid postage and be addressed to:

Collection of unsold work: Thursday 25th November 2021, 10AM – 2PM (timed slots confirmed closer to the time)
Return by post will take place within a month of the close of the exhibition

Collection of unsold work: Thursday 25 November 2021, 10am – 2pm

* These regulations must be strictly observed, as the SSA has no storage. Any work not collected by owner or agent on the dates above or any works that arrive without return postage and packaging will be disposed of in any way the SSA see fit after that. 

Liability for artworks
The SSA will endeavour to take care of all works submitted. Unframed works in mounts will be cellophane wrapped by the Society to protect them from damage, however, the SSA do not hold themselves responsible for any loss or damage which may occur to works while in the custody of the SSA or their agents. The SSA does not insure work in transit or while in the Gallery. Work not presented as requested will not be accepted.
