Rosalux is Minnesota’s longest running collective art gallery which was originally founded in February 2002 and is located in the Van Buren Building in the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District.
The Gallery timed the opening reception of The Cut of Your Jib, to coincide with the cities thriving Art’s District “Art-A-Whirl” weekend. Art-A Whirl is a three-day festival of the arts in NE Minneapolis. During the course of this weekend the various studio buildings are open to the public. There are numerous exhibitions and workshops held during this weekend in studio spaces and in local galleries.
The reception on Friday May 15 2015 began with a talk by Carolyn Scott and Will Storrar on their Bus Party project and then moved into a public reception. Both were well attended and a great time was had by all. The 3000 Square foot gallery space has allowed the exhibiting artists an accessible and perfectly balanced show.
