As part of a cultural exchange between Scotland and Poland, printmakers from the Wroclaw Academy of Fine Art were invited to exhibit work at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design in Dundee and at the Society of Scottish Artists (SSA) 2010 Annual Exhibition at the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh.

A reciprocal exhibition of prints will take place at the Wroclaw Academy of Fine Art in January 2012. Submissions for this exhibition are now invited from members of the SSA. Entry is free however every submission should include £5 per piece as a contribution towards shipping to Poland. A juried selection will be made in mid-November and these will be exhibited alongside work from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design.
The theme of the exhibition is Big Print, Small Print. Each submission must contain at least one big print and one small print. Up to six prints can be submitted by any individual. Big prints must be either 100cm x 70cm or 76cm x 56cm (paper size). Small prints must be either 25cm x 17.5cm or 19cm x 14cm (paper size). The image may be any shape, size or format. The only restrictions are that these sizes of paper are used and that each submission has at least one big and one small print. Any printing technique, digital or traditional, is admissable. Artists’ Books can also be submitted. All work submitted must be unframed.
Every submission must be accompanied by a Polish Print Exchange form which can be downloaded on the next page. Submissions should be handed in to Edinburgh Printmakers Workshop, 23 Union Street, Edinburgh, EH1 3LR on Saturday 29th October between 10 am and 4pm.
