About the Course
The course introduces participants to the processes and techniques involved in filming, processing and screening 16mm film. You will have the opportunity to film on site and then process the film during the weekend course. Equipment is provided.
About Allison Gibbs
Allison Gibbs (b. 1978) is an Australian artist who has been based in Glasgow since 2007. She completed her MFA at The Glasgow School of Art in 2013, with an Erasmus Exchange at The Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam, NL. Allison works with 16mm film, video, writing, sculpture and photography.
About Mat Fleming
Mat Fleming is an artist film maker based in the North East of England. He has been making films since he was 18 and has a special enthusiasm for 8mm and 16mm film. In 2001 he cofounded Cineside which became the Star and Shadow Cinema collective. Mat has shown work with the National Glass Centre and AV Festival, Berwick Film and Media Art Festival and European Media Art Festival. He often works collaboratively and in 2013 he has been invited to undertake a residency at ISIS Arts in Newcastle.
