Statement

Statement

Erical McCracken has a background in performance and works intuitively with easily accessible, found objects and materials, elevating the status of these things by care and attention to detail. Sustainability and resourcefulness are important values in her practice. While certain themes inevitably recur in McCracken’s work, she prefers to investigate a concept, and then fit the concept with an appropriate medium. She takes an immersive, ‘punk’ approach and considers art-making a process of translation.
