Rivera works with questions for the postdigital era: how we relate to our territory, move, occupy and situate within the surrounding space. His research and practice explores durational actions as a new-materialist approach, away from humanistic traces. Finding ways of being with, living and sensing the entanglements of the world we live in

Biography

Jose Carlos Rivera ( b.1990 ) is a visual artist currently based and researching at Valencia Polytechnic University in Valencia, Spain.

Rivera received his MFA from The Glasgow School of Art in 2020 and his work has been shown internationally including: Yellowstone Art Museum (YAM), Tabacalera Promoción del Arte, Madrid and Montenmedio Contemporary Art Foundation (NMAC).
