Founded in 2012, Prism has exhibited in prominent galleries in Italy (Cremona and Milan), London, Tokyo and Poland.
Members of Prism include Stanley Jones MBE: Co-founder (along with Michael Rothenstein RA, Julien Trevelyan RA and others), and until recently President, of the Printmakers Council. Nigel Oxley: Author, senior lecturer in drawing and printmaking at London Metropolitan University and master etcher at Kelpra. Co-founder of Prism with artist John Read, Nigel has printed editions for Frank Auerbach, John Piper, Eduardo Paolozzi, Dame Elizabeth Frink and Patrick Heron.
“Prism’s exhibitions, which have taken place since 2013, have proved to be a vitally important means of cultural and creative exchange, at once encompassing the works of British, European and Japanese artists. Prism thus represents distinctive traditions and developments in printmaking.” Julia Beaumont-Jones (former Print Room Manager, Tate Britain)
Prism was invited to exhibit at this year’s exhibition after Council were introduced to the group’s work by Norman McBeath, a member of both the SSA Council and Prism Print International.
