Sit In / Take Away
Sit-In / Take Away is an exciting addition to the SSA Annual Open Exhibition offering a fantastic selection of small works for sale at very affordable prices.
All SSA members are invited to submit works for Sit-In / Take Away. Throughout the exhibition, works will be on show in browsers and a changing wall display.
To take advantage of this opportunity, please follow the submission guidelines detailed below.

Submission guidelines:
All SSA members can submit one work, and Professional Members can submit up to two works.
All work must be:
- Unframed
- Mounted on a 30 x 30 cm board (The work itself can be smaller but must fit within 30 x 30 cm)
- Work must be 2D and less than 1cm in depth
Work can be in any medium (e.g. drawing, painting, printing, collage, photography).
All works must be accompanied by an A4 sheet of paper giving the following details:
- Artist
- Title
- Media
- Price
We are setting a maximum price of £250 for each work, with the usual SSA sales commission applying: 35% for Student and Ordinary Members and 30% for Professional Members.
There is no pre-selection process for Sit-In / Take Away – so no need to send images or details of your work prior to delivery.
Delivery
Delivery in person (preferred) on Sunday 23 October 2016, 10am – 7pm.
National Galleries of Scotland, Academy Building (back door), The Mound, Edinburgh, EH2 2EL
Delivery by post to arrive on Monday 24 October. Posted works must include return post and packaging and be labelled:

Return of unsold work
Collection in person (preferred)
Friday 25 November 2016, 1-7pm
Saturday 26 November 2016, 10am – 4pm
Return by post will take place within a month of the close of the exhibition.
Liability for Works
The Society will endeavour to take care of all works submitted, and works will be cellophane wrapped by the SSA to protect them from damage, however, the society does not hold itself responsible for any loss or damage which may occur to works while in the custody of the Society or its agents. The Society does not insure work in transit or while in the Gallery.
Work not presented as requested will not be accepted.
