*POSTPONEMENT | NOTICE OF SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING 2024
*POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE*
The SSA SGM has been postponed and therefore will not take place on Wednesday 17 April, 6pm as planned. Those members who registered for the online SGM have been informed by email. A full statement on the reasons behind postponing the SGM is being prepared by the SSA Council and will be shared with the SSA Membership in due course.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING |
THE SOCIETY OF SCOTTISH ARTISTS (the Society)
(Scottish Charity No. SC009586)
NOTICE is hereby given that a SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING of the Society will be held at 6.00pm on 17 April 2024 for the purposes of considering and if thought fit passing the following resolutions:-
1 Amendment of Constitution
THAT the Constitution of the Society of Scottish Artists (the SSA) be amended by the deletion of paragraph XXVII and its replacement with the following:-
“XXVII Dissolution of the Society
The Society cannot be dissolved except with the prior approval of a resolution passed by three-fourths of the Members present voting at a General Meeting.”
2 Dissolution of the Society
THAT, subject to the passing of Resolution No. 1 above, the SSA be dissolved and its assets transferred to a new Scottish Incorporated Charitable Organisation to be named (subject to receipt of all necessary approvals) “The Scottish Society of Artists” or such alternative name as the Council shall determine, having a Constitution substantially in the form produced to the meeting.
