Studio Residencies & Space At Sea Loft
Substantial Project Space in unique open plan studio and residency space, available to those practicing artists, architects, writers and designers working in any contemporary idiom. Mentoring support is on hand for young artists plus dialogue and involvement with a range of professionals associated with Sea Loft and its projects. This includes discourse with anthropologists, scientists, researchers, curators and gallery directors. Engagement with artists from at home and abroad adds further value to atmosphere.
In addition to the spaces and residency available at Sea Loft, lateral lab a new Scottish based contemporary art charity is based here and manages The Robert Callender International Residency for Young Artists. This residency takes place in Osaka, Japan & Sea Loft every July, the one month during which the Sea Loft residencies are not available. But the studio space rental continues throughout the year.
Lateral lab pioneers cutting-edge responses to the environment through an ecocentric spirit of exploration, risk-taking and international collaboration. It supports young artists and public engagement in all its projects at home and abroad. It will also run North, Nomadic Residency, from later in 2015.
This renowned international studio is in an exceptional location on Fife coast a short distance from both Edinburgh and Dundee. The well-equipped studio with technical assistance also has new overnight accommodation, bathroom and kitchen facilities, off-street parking and regular train services. Prices vary according to requirements.

Residency cost is from £600 per month
Non-resident temporary project space use from £400 per month
